Youth Advocates for Hamzat is a dynamic grassroots movement committed to mobilising and empowering young people across Lagos State in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda. The movement is dedicated to securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for a second term, the emergence of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State in 2027, and the victory of all All Progressives Congress candidates across the state. Driven by passion, purpose, innovation, and grassroots engagement, YAH is building a formidable youth-driven support base that promotes visionary leadership, good governance, sustainable development, and active civic participation.
Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat is the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, having been elected in 2019 and re-elected alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2023. Born on 19 September 1964 in Lagos, he holds a PhD in Systems Process Engineering from Cranfield University, England. A distinguished engineer and technocrat, he previously served as Commissioner for Science and Technology and Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, overseeing landmark projects including the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge. Renowned for his cordiality, maturity, and seamless leadership traits, Dr. Hamzat remains a pivotal force in Lagos State’s governance and development.
